Outline and Overview
Please go to "About the Course" page within the International Bible Course section or click here to learn about the different ways this course can be taken and how it can be offered to others.
Outline
The topics covered within each section are outlined below.
The first section contains a welcome letter that defines the purpose of the course and the final section consists of a thank you letter and a spiritual evaluation. The spiritual evaluation is provided as an oppertunity to personally evaluate one's life in comparison to the word of God.
Sections 1 through 8 contain a lesson and a worksheet that is available in both electronic and printable formats*. An answer key for each worksheet is provided within the next section.
Throughout the course, there are also 3 questionnaires that are provided to initiate self-examination prior to studying specific sections. These questionnaires will be provided with section 2, section 3, and section 4. Upon completing the questionnaires, they should be compared and considered with each following section (section 3, section 4, and section 5).
The sections cover the following subjects:
· Section 1: Who is the authority?
· Section 2: How has God communicated with His people?
· Section 3: How can we be saved?
· Section 4: What is the church and how is it organized?
· Section 5: What is acceptable worship in the church Christ built?
· Section 6: Is continued obedience to Christ essential for salvation?
· Section 7: Is sincere prayer and study necessary to remain faithfully obedient?
· Section 8: How can we continue in the faith and grow spiritually?
· Final Section: Where does the Bible say I will spend eternity?
*Both printable and electronic formats of the worksheets are identical; however, both formats are offered to give those taking the course through this site an option as to how they can be completed.
Overview
God loves us all very much; so much, that He has blessed us with both the ability and source to learn about Him and His plan for us. Therefore, we want to invite you in making the choice to participate in a Bible study where we hope you will grow closer to the Lord.
The course consists of eight sections that are designed to share the truth concerning God, His existence, and His words for all people. Each section is designed around a specific topic and includes a lesson and an interactive worksheet. The topics are chosen and based strictly upon God’s word. Therefore, the lessons are made up almost entirely of Biblically quoted scriptures, and each question within the worksheet is derived from the Biblical passages that were used within the corresponding lesson.
Due to the high level of Biblically referenced material, you are encouraged to follow along and read the verses yourself within your own Bible or through sources such as www.Biblegateway.com. This course has been structured to strengthen the faith of those who are already familiar with the Bible as well as teach those who are wanting to gain an understanding of God and His truth.
